This position supervises the management of critical business applications. This position requires an extensive understanding of the assigned business applications that support the enterprise business departments and/or departmental applications. Business units may include: Finance and Payroll; Accounting; Human Resources; Supply Chain; Quality Center; the Central Business Office; Patient Access; Nutrition and Environmental Services; UHMG; UHMP; the Extended Care Campus; Homecare; Compcare; Legal; Compliance and Risk Management. Areas of management focus include:
Initiating and maintaining positive relationships with key customers and co-workers
Partnering with customer departments and team members to translate business requirements into viable solutions, with attention on customer service
Leading discovery, planning or follow up sessions with key customers
Leading regular status sessions with key customers
Acting as a liaison with vendors and participating in vendor or system selections
Creating and delivering annual evaluations, professional development, and mentoring for their team
Participating in interviewing and hiring of potential team members
Participating in rotational 24x7 Exec On Call responsibilities for major system outages, disaster management and change control
Partnering with the Project Management Office to support all phases of project implementation
Facilitating change management, insuring integration of industry standards and practices
Displaying commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values while maintaining high standards of integrity.
Experience & Knowledge:
5+ years experience in Healthcare IT environment supporting business applications such as:
Oracle eBusiness Suite
Web Based Budgeting
Patient Billing (PB)
OASIS, and others.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as exhibiting strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of MS Office/MS Visio/MS Project required.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Business Management required.
