4-H Program Assistant
Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills; proficient in Microsoft programs; motivated and self-directed team players; ability to work with youth; ability to work a flexible schedule with some evening and weekend hours.
Experience working with 4-H Youth Development, Future Farmers of America, or other youth organizations is preferred.
Provide support to a positive youth development program at the county level; responsible for assisting with the planning, organizing, coordinating, and evaluating of the Erie County 4-H program.
Areas of focus include: school enrichment programs, animal sciences projects, Quality Assurance, 4-H judging preparations, Honor Club and outstanding officer books, public awareness and marketing, 4-H club expansion, and CARTEENS support; work collaboratively with other county-based 4-H
professionals and with the entire office staff to build community partnerships to enrich the lives of Erie county residents; work as part of the OSU Extension team in Erie county to maintain a positive public image to demonstrate the mission of the land grant university system.
